For this role, we ask that you can demonstrate:

• Commercial experience in software engineering, either in development or technical consulting.
• Experience in planning, designing and building complex, high-quality, robust web applications and information systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Web Services industry standards and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and design.
• Strong experience in the full Web Services Architecture and its operational components (HTTP, RESTful API calls, integrations)
• Experience working in pre-sales or sales environments, supporting non technical staff and clients.

What you would be doing:

As a solution architect you will help Squiz Account Managers and Business Development Managers to respond to opportunities. You will help position our products and services to clients and design appropriate solutions for their requirements.

Day to day, this means that you will be:

• Respond to requests for assistance from AMs and BDMs.
• Join calls with clients and colleagues to understand client's requirements and present proposals
• Respond to tender requests, which are often vague and time sensitive.
• Documenting solutions using solution architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams and even mock up some interfaces.
• Estimating product requirements and ensuring that we pick the appropriate products to use in solutions
• Costing services, documenting scope and assumptions.
• Helping maintain a services catalogue of packaged services
• Support the Account Management team to retain clients through the Provision of thought leadership, digital consulting, & strategic solution roadmaps for house clients

You will be able to convince clients and colleagues of your solution and help see it through to successful delivery, by providing the delivery teams with the right guidance and well defined scope.
