What you’ll do:

• Be accountable for ensuring applications deliver a stable, resilient and performant customer experience.
• Drive technical improvements and own an architecture & technology roadmap. You will be responsible for critically evaluating it against wider technology strategy.
• Work with developers to design and document software architectures and deliver strategic deliverables that advance long-term technology goals.
• Ensure solution designs serve the business requirements, support operational agility, and are delivered in accordance with our Architecture & Engineering Principles.
• Define SLIs & SLOs, measure application performance against them and work with teams to help achieve their goals

What you’ll bring:

• Prior experience building performant, scalable, resilient, and secure real-world software solutions at scale.
• Experience leading teams of developers and awareness of how to operate as part of a senior leadership team
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to all levels of developers, non-technical stakeholders, and at executive level. This is a cross-functional role working with distributed teams and requiring lots of collaboration.
• An architectural mindset, capable of making pragmatic choices to suit contextual pressures and a willingness to constantly revaluate as the environment changes.

Where you’ll work: (Osterley or Leeds)

Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.

On campus, you’ll find 13 subsidised restaurants, cafes, and a Waitrose. You can keep in shape at our subsidised gym, catch the latest shows and movies at our cinema, get your car washed and even get pampered at our beauty salon.

Leeds:

Our spacious tech hub is under a mile away from Leeds train station. There’s also plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and at the nearby CitiPark.

You can also blow off steam over a game of pool or table tennis, and stay fit at our subsidised gym.
