About this role
This job matters as the purpose of this job is to deliver a solution and support the operation of that solution during the period of use. The job drives innovation into the customer accounts and works on business development. The job really understands the impact of the solution offered by BT and designs a programme to deliver ensuring that technical solutions can be delivered while BT continues to make a profit. This role is responsible for maintaining the e2e solution/technical roadmap for our largest customer contracts/business areas across all technical and solution aspects, spanning network, systems and process.
The delivery of complex commercial contracts and contract-initiated changes on the UK Specialist platforms.  These are the contract and Sector specific bespoke platforms that support the largest and most complex UK contracts including ESN.
Emergency Service Network (ESN) provides critical national infrastructure. ESN will transmit fast, safe, and secure voice, video, and data across the 4G network and give first responders immediate access to life-saving data, images and information in live situations and emergencies on the frontline.
This role is responsible for defining and maintaining the E2E solution and technical roadmap spanning network, systems, process, and 3rd party solutions.
You'll have the following responsibilities
• This role is to define the architecture for the ESN solution across both BSS and OSS.
• Accountable for the adherence to BT design compliance.
• Lead the transformation of the IT teams to have a human centred, service-oriented mindset.
• This role is responsible for defining and maintaining the e2e solution and technical roadmap including stakeholder management spanning network, systems, process and 3rd party solutions.
• Proactively contribute to the product/solution evolution by bringing an understanding of what new product/service capabilities can be enabled by emerging technology capabilities.
• Delivery across both strategic ad legacy system stacks and associated planning for customer migrations.
• Mitigate competitors’ advantages and leverage BT’s strengths as a source of competitive differentiation when creating a solution

You'll have the following skills & experience
• Stakeholder Management: Able to establish and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and facilitates mutually beneficial negotiations to develop solutions, ensuring they meet current and emerging business and technical needs.
• Technical Expert: Serving as an externally recognised expert in their field and influencing industry forums, external boards and/or conferences through technical expertise. Proactively contributes to the product evolution by bringing an understanding of what new product/services can be enabled by emerging technology capabilities.
• Architecture and Architecting: The ability to use architecture/design techniques and methods to support the requirements of our customers, partners or ourselves to create solutions that meet their / our requirements (market, customer solution or platform).
• Financial Acumen: The ability to apply financial knowledge to the financial management of own work area, project, programme, business unit, business case or contract. Has good understanding of financial principles and can apply them to their immediate work area/project.

• Solution Definition and Design: Is experienced in defining, designing and managing complex technical solutions across multiple domains, involving extensive range of technologies using industry standard and BT architectures. Has experience in defining, creating, documenting and managing solutions across a wide range of projects and is able to coach others in these skills.
• BT Platform Architecture Knowledge: A high level of understanding of the BT Matrix Platform architecture and its evolution and how it used to drive the development of new and improved capabilities and LOB products and propositions.
• Business Development: Has some experience in the principles surrounding business development and identifying compelling sales proposals to meet customer needs.
