Job Description

Our customer is a subsidiary of a large multinational technology company that develops high quality marine entertainment products (Hardware and Software) for national and international customers. The company was born in NZ in 1998 and they have been growing steadily to become a global champion today.

We are looking to attract talent for the Software Quality Specialist role who will work closely with the development teams to ensure quality and usability of the products.

Some of the duties may include but not limited to:

  • Execute test cases/scripts as identified per test process.
  • Perform Apple certification testing (ATS/MFI);
  • Complete product system assembly and testing (including NMEA remote and MFDs)
  • Android and Apple mobile application testing.
  • Analyse test results and user's feedback and communicate with product development teams to assist in problem resolution.
  • Analyse test results (also comparing one build to another) to create periodic test reports per test process.
  • Participate in the definition of new or improvements of test processes.
  • Perform other tasks/projects as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess relevant experience and/or training in software quality assurance processes and methodologies.
  • Desirable experience testing and developing/analysisng software tests in a core product market (Aviation, automotive, mobile, marine, OEM, fitness, outdoor and recreation)
  • Must possess relevant experience and/or training in creating test plans, conducting usability tests, and/or writing test scripts.
  • Experience with relay controller boards.
  • Experience building text fixtures.
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision while excercising sound judgement.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask in a flexible and fast paced and challenging environment.
