Engineering is a large multi-disciplined ‘professional services’ engineering practice. The team is organised in key customer focused capabilities which each have sub-capability areas comprising single or multiple engineering delivery projects.

The purpose of this role is to be a technical specialist in an Engineering profession and provide technical leadership to a project delivery team which gives them complete technical project delivery responsibility.

The team maintain and develop bespoke capabilities working very closely with our customers.  We work across a wide variety of platforms and technology stacks and we utilise a wide range of programming languages.  The team is based across our main three sites as well as working on customer sites.

You'll have the following responsibilities

• Accountable: Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work covering technical responsibilities. 
• Accountable: Establishes technical objectives and delegates responsibilities.
• Leadership: Influences a significant part of own organisation and influences customers/suppliers and industry at a senior management level (e.g. around resourcing of delivery teams and technical direction of work).
• Leadership: Conducts technical interviews
• Leadership: Performs technical coaching and mentoring

You'll have the following skills & experience

Technical Skills:

• Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/management principles.
• Performs highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects.
• , C#, Python, C++, ansible, docker, Jenkins, node.js

Business acumen:

• Contributes to formulation of GSS strategy.
• Develops relationships with senior customers.

Additional:

• Member of a professional body appropriate to area of specialism
• Security Clearance: A DV level of National Security Vetting will be required for this role
