We are searching for a strong self-driven Software Engineer II for Microsoft Defender for Office Team.
Our team - Microsoft Defender for Office, as part of the SCM team, provides the backbone of anti-abuse and security features for the enterprise-level service known as Exchange Online Protection (EOP) that is responsible for successfully overseeing billions of messages for tens of millions of users. We use multiple technologies and frameworks focusing on end2end life cycle of Big Data and Machine Learning projects in Security Domain.
As a Senior software development engineer on the team you will be responsible for system architecture, code, deployment, scale, performance aspects, from conception to delivery. We use multiple technologies and frameworks - C#, PowerShell, Data Modeling, Data Driven and Analysis tools. The distributed nature of the service, new and exciting features we are bringing to market provide many interesting technical challenges to solve. Distributed computation, high-scale, high availability, geo-redundancy, low-touch are all aspects that our features need to be designed with in mind. You will be responsible for building the next generation world class spam filtering service focused around cutting edge performance and efficiency to handle the high volume of messages we process every day while still facilitating the highest level of effectiveness. It will involve aspects of machine learning and various content classification techniques.
• 3 - 7 years of experience in developing & creating platforms and services.
• Strong proficiency in Object Oriented architeture design and coding.
• Strong proficiency in Big Data and Cloud Service development
• Strong knowledge on C#/Java. SQL or other non-relational storage
• Excellent design, coding, debugging and problem solving skills.
• Solid technical aptitude and take initiative, and must be result driven.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with at least one complete ship cycle of a commercial product
• A BS/MS in computer science or related field.
