Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Software development experience using C#, C++, C, Java, or Python
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
• Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
• Candidates must have an active TS and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph) or have an active TS/SCI and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph). This role will require candidates to maintain the TS/SCI (with polygraph) clearance.
• Candidates must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Candidates selected for this position must comply with Federal Executive Order 14042 mandating that federal contractors and subcontractors receive the COVID-19 vaccine by being fully vaccinated before their date of hire, or work with Microsoft to receive an approved religious or medical accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid CS fundamentals, fluent in multi-threaded, asynchronous programming, strong inclination for architecting at scale
• A strong background in data structures and analysis of algorithm complexity
• Demonstrated problem solving, coding and debugging skills
• Ability to debug and optimize code, and automate routine tasks
• Excellence in software engineering practices and coding
• Experience with multi-threaded/parallel programming would be a plus
• Experience building and operating scalable distributed systems would be a huge plus
• Written and oral communication skills
• Strong intellectual curiosity and passion about learning new technologies
