We are responsible for building and driving adoption of the platform and technologies that reaches across major products like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Search to deliver employee engagement experiences.    

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Engineer for a team that will be working on Microsoft Viva. This will be a backend team that works on services and big data. As an engineer on the team you will design and implement hyper-scale distributed services and big data analytics systems. You will work in an agile environment that emphasizes the use of data, metrics and experimentation as means to optimize the user experience. You will also engage with customers to understand need and drive key partner relationships across Microsoft as Viva, which is a One Microsoft effort.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software design and development experience with at least one of C/C++/C#/Java or Big Data frameworks (Hadoop map-reduce, data modeling) 
  • Prior experience with developing large high-scale micro services, with service-oriented development and cloud-based systems 
  • Strong technical abilities, problem solving, design, rapid prototyping, coding and debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and cross group collaboration and communication skills 
  • BS/MS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field
