The Prime Video Financial Systems team is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to build world-class bespoke financial software to support our expanding global video business. Our mission is to provide frictionless on-boarding, management, and renewal of assets and associated contracts for all of Prime Video.

You will be involved in developing and maintaining a system that must efficiently handle large data volumes and highly confidential data. Because we deal with financial data, such as forecasting, budget management, accounting and payments the code we write must conform to high standards of accuracy and consistency. A successful candidate will have strong technical ability, great communication skills and an established background in developing full-stack, n-tier systems.


Key job responsibilities
An engineer in the FinSys Prime Video Financial systems team is a full stack engineer working with the full range of AWS technologies. You'll be expected to design, lead, deliver and support technologies that solve business needs.

You'll be an advocate for your customers, providing input into what areas the team should be investing in. You will think big about what problems we can solve for our customers, users and the team.



A day in the life
A FinSys engineer writes code to support the accounting and payment of licensed and original content. Engineers along with working in their teams,
work closely with other FinSys and stakeholder teams.
This arrangement means that as engineers you'll have direct exposure to the impact your code is making.

Team members work on projects from solo projects up to multi-team, cross - regional projects. You'll be a key member of those teams, reviewing design docs, providing code reviews, troubleshooting problems and providing solutions to unique business problems.

About the team
The Payments and Contract onboarding team build and maintain systems that get contract data into the financial systems. As a team we think flexible about our systems, listen to stakeholder needs and apply creative and innovative solutions to business problems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
· Non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
· Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between.
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
