As a member of the core search team, you will have direct impact on the quality of Bing search results which in turn determines the experience of millions of user searches every day. We are using the latest NLP technologies to find most fresh, authoritative, and relevant documents from the web for queries issued by our users. In order to achieve that, we build metrics, data generation pipeline, develop features and algorithms and do it in a scalable way to cover all languages and regions on the earth.

Responsibilities

Understand all the metrics, is able to get insights of what happened from real traffic scorecard, and come up with improvement plan if needed
Innovate ideas, implement, flight and ship features to end user impact

Qualifications

We are looking for cream of the crop - motivated engineers with excellent architecture, design, coding, and debugging skills.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required;
- Familiar with at least one OOP language: C++/C#/Java
- Great design, problem solving, and data analysis skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence
- At least 2 years of industry experiences in engineering or research is preferred.
- Experience in data mining/analysis, machine learning, and information retrieval, large scale web server experience is a big plus.
- Motivated and able to work independently as well in a collaborative team setting to research innovative solutions to challenging technical/business problems.
