Buhler Versatile Inc. is looking to add an additional Software Developer to the Research and Development team. As a Software Developer, you will be heavily involved in the design, development, and testing of vehicle control software for Versatile’s various agricultural products. We are looking for a driven individual with software development experience in embedded systems who is also comfortable being away from the desk working directly with prototype and production vehicles.

Responsibilities:

●  Design, develop, test, and prototype software for new and existing products.

●  Support testing of new products in lab or field environments

Qualifications:

●  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

●  Minimum 3 years of programming experience.

●  Strong background in structured programming (C/C++ is preferred) and can demonstrate familiarity with modern software design principles.

●  Functional knowledge of Unix and Linux operating systems, storage environments, and file systems.

●  Experience developing software for embedded systems.

●  Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

●  Ability to intuitively understand project requirements and hardware limitations.

●  Ability to synthesize a feasible design based on specific requirements and limitations.

●  Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.

●  Ability to meet deadlines and provide the necessary deliverables and documentation.

●  Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a project team.

●  Must be comfortable working on tractors.

●  A valid driver’s license.
