Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project/Process Advisor (Contract Management) based in Atherstone.

The Software Asset Management function is responsible for 600 Publishers, 2500 Software Titles, in excess of 100M Euro of contracted spend and 100,000 devices across international.

As a Project/Process advisor you will be responsible for:

• The design, build and deploy Software Asset Management for the whole of FedEx Express International
  
• Lead a team to maintain accurate inventory of software assets and license compliance position
  
• Provide governance for compliance in relation to licensed software for both client and server based products with internal policies, controls, and third party contracts. This includes planning, acquiring, deployment, management, and retirement of software assets
  
• Ensuring successful audits are achieved as and when they are necessary
  
• Being an active part of the IT Asset Management Team
  
• Ensuring that the all software licencing throughout the software life cycle is managed through licence optimisation, support and maintenance
  

​Main duties will include:

• Development of governance programs including strategies, policies, processes, procedures, roles & responsibilities and KPIs
  
• Assist internal customers before, during or after an external publisher audit to ensure that they are not procuring unnecessary licenses and licences are re-harvested
  
• Assist internal customers with license true-up or contract renewal by providing them an overview of what they currently have, what they use and what they should true-up or renew
  
• Represent SAM within Change Management
  
• Engage with Projects to provide Licence Architecture
  
• Manage and report on Inventory data
  
• Manage Software Licence Entitlement
  
• Manage Asset Discovery and reporting
  
• Create Effective Licence Positions
  
• Support Software Contract Renewals
  
• Creation of Effective License Positions (ELPs) for Software Publishers
  
• Perform contractual analysis of software contracts and End User Licensing Agreements
  
• Work with Procurement to review annual software contract renewals
  
• Track and manage requisitions through the finance system (SAP) for software purchases
  
• Tracking and reporting on Hardware Assets
  
• Manage the Global Asset mailbox and day to day questions and queries
  
• Approve or decline Software Requests in the Service Now ticketing system
  
• Administer the Flexera Flexnet Manager Asset Management tool
  
• Cross-Functional Project Coordination & Status Reporting as well as Large Project Leadership (including Issue Resolution)
  
• Project Business Case Development, Financial Analysis (Costing & Financials)
  
• Development Process Document Drafting & Review
  
• Compliance Management (FedEx Global Development Process)
  
• Project Management; Mentoring
  

This role will have strong relationships with the following stakeholders:  

• International: Customer Integrations; Application Development International; Infrastructure; Business Continuity International; Information Security International; 
  
• Regional IT: Customer Integrations
  
• Regular contacts with the US SAM team and ITCM (contract management) for Global alignment
  
• Regular contacts with Directors and Officers (VP and above) due to the nature of the job and span of control
