Our team of practitioners are a tight knit group who work closely together and share our Oranga Tamariki values. As part of our team, you will spend your day meeting with tamariki, rangatahi and their family and whanau listening to what they have to say, completing assessments of need, formulating intensive intervention plans, participating in hui-a-whānau, family group conferences and partnering with other agencies, community groups and iwi to improve outcomes.

What you will bring Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu

• A recognised Social Work qualification by the Social Worker Registration Board
• Registration (or able to apply) with New Zealand's Social Worker Registration Board
• Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Upholding the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and demonstrating this in practice
• Having a good understanding of section 7(AA) of The Oranga Tamariki Act
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• A valid and clean New Zealand's drivers' licence.

Annual remuneration for this position starts between $74,839.35 and $90,714.36 dependant on experience. We offer a vibrant and supportive team, flexible work options and a genuine commitment to wellbeing.

The appointee will be based for some of their working week in Alexandra at the main Central Otago site office but will also have flexibility to work remotely at times, in co-located office spaces in Queenstown, Wanaka and potentially other locations within our catchment area.
