This is a social services organisation providing a range of services to whānau and Rangatahi. 

This is an exciting new community-based service located in Auckland. 

Our client is looking for a registered mental Social Worker to join their all-inclusive whānau. You will be a part of a collaborative team working closely with Counsellors, Mentors and other Social Workers.

The Role:

As a Social Worker, you will be the first point of contact with each client and their whanau. You will build a rapport and working relationship that enables you to refer them to the best services for each Rangatahis (young persons) needs.  You will play a key role in gathering the relevant information to inform our client's initial and ongoing validated assessments and targeted intervention plans.

Skills and Attributes required: 

Eligible for a Provisional or full NZ Social Worker registration

A passion for and understanding of working with youth

Strong personal and professional boundaries and self-care strategies

Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice

A current full clean driver's licence

Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
