Our team is looking for a Social Worker who wants to make a difference, providing bio-psycho-social assessment and social work interventions with older adults on the Kingsley Mortimer Unit/ward 12 at North Shore Hospital. This is a full time fixed term position for 6 months covering parental leave.
The successful candidate will be client-centred in their approach and have excellent counselling skills, including some experience working with grief and loss. They will be familiar with Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act (PPPR) processes and will be effective communicators with interest to become a key member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
We provide regular professional supervision and ongoing support and training opportunities.
You must be currently employed as a Social Worker and so have a current Annual Practising Certificate. ANZASW membership and previous Mental Health Services for Older Adults experience is preferred.
