Are you both sport and pop-culture mad and looking for your dream role? A role like this doesn’t come around too often! 

Be our online voice, manage campaigns and create content that will leverage off our sport and entertainment offering to lift awareness and build excitement across all social media channels. We are looking for a Social Media Rockstar, who can take the lead, speak to the market, and generate online engagement with our brand.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Social Media Lead: Brand & Entertainment by executing the organic and paid social media strategy for Sky and Sky Sport across all active social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter and YouTube)
  • Develop and execute Sky’s social media content calendar using consumer insights and social media trends that appeal to our target market and customer base
  • You will ideate and curate creative concepts, leveraging off-key campaign ideas coming out of both sport and entertainment content marketing that engage and build our audiences

(You’ll do this by working closely with the Social Content Producers, both Sport and Brand & Entertainment.)

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of content production
  • In-person social media cover at live events (including outside of normal business hours) working closely with the Community Management Specialist
  • Work under the guidance of the Social Media Lead: Brand & Entertainment to co-ordinate social assets with internal and external partners
  • Budget management for Sky social media activity and partnerships
  • Work with the Brand & Sport Marketing team to inspire internal and external agencies to innovate and deliver outstanding creative work

What you will bring: 

  • 2+ years in a social media environment, content scheduling, and/or digital copywriting
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing paid media campaigns
  • A professional understanding of social media, especially Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter and YouTube and how they can be utilised to benefit both Sky and Sky Sport
  • A passion to learn how to deliver social media innovation through storytelling, audience engagement and account growth
  • Natural ability to grow and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and agency partners
  • Demonstrated experience to develop social media accounts and communities
  • Ability to use social media analytics to inform content decisions 
  • Ability to understand how to use social media to support, enhance and engage audiences around Sky’s major broadcast programmes
  • Experience of a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and conflicting priorities
