The opportunity
Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Officer to join the team for a Maternity Leave coverage - 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
The role provides expert advice and assistance to Transport staff and contractors on a range of environmental management, compliance, planning and assessment requirements for Transport activities to support compliance to organisational environmental and sustainability frameworks, achieve required Government environmental outcomes and meet the expectations of the community of NSW. It works as part of an embedded project team supporting projects, programs and operations.

About you
You are an experienced Senior Environment & Sustainability Officer and looking for an opportunity to provide real environmental outcomes on the ground during the development and delivery of Road, Bridge and Maritime Projects.
You will have a proven track record working in construction or large development/infrastructure projects.
You will also have experience in reviewing environmental assessments and site management plans.
You are someone who works collaboratively with others and has experience in building and maintaining strong relationships. The successful candidate will be committed to managing and prioritising competing demands and responsibilities in a busy and evolving environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 8A ($120,000) – 8E ($134,000) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading. For more information on Employee Benefits at TfNSW please click here.
