Smart Meter Engineer – Single Fuel, London area

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for Single Fuel operatives who are looking to develop their skills and embark on the journey to becoming Dual Fuel trained. We’re offering you the opportunity to upskill, with EDF covering all training costs.  We’re welcoming applications from trained installers who share our commitment to safety, quality and our passion for delivering excellent customer service.

EDF are looking to bring on Electric trained individuals who are wanting to take that next jump and learn the gas side of Metering. 

Within our Smart Metering and Electric Vehicle Installations team, you’ll be joining a multi-disciplined team of Smart Metering Operatives, responsible for the installation, maintenance, exchange and removal of all types of Dual Fuel metering for our customers, in the London area.

• £28,734 starting salary* inclusive of a £3,500 London allowance if you live within the M25

What we need from you

• Competent to install, remove, exchange or energise all singe-phase electrical metering equipment supplied from single- or three-phase cut outs or distribution boards
• Three-phase metering competency is preferred but not essential 
• EUSR registered
• Takes pride in delivering quality work whilst adhering to the highest safety standards
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Must hold a current Full Driving Licence (any penalties or endorsements should be declared on application)
• Full colour vision 
• Pass pre-appointment drug and alcohol screening
