The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Knockanboy Vets, Dervock!

There are small animal consults from 9-11am and from 4 -6pm, we always aim to close at 6.30pm. We Have 2 branches Dervock and Coleraine. There are usually 3-4 operations/procedures for each Veterinary Surgeon to perform between times. We would require 1 Saturday in 4 covered 9-1.30 approximately. There are no out of hours duties at present but this could change slightly going forward.

About Us

We are located on the beautiful North Antrim Coast near the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and the Dark Hedges. We have 2 branches with Digital Xray Haematology and Biochemistry machines and ultra-sound machine and Laboratory work up facilities. We have a great team of staff who all help each other.

We have 8 Veterinary Surgeon, 5 Mixed Veterinary Surgeons on rota and 3 Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. We have 1 Veterinary Nurse and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses. There are 7 other support members of staff and Practice Manager. We are the primary vets for 2 local Charity associations in our area, Cats Protection and Bark

Applicant Requirements

We would require a competent motivated caring person to add to our team. Support is always provided for each individual to progress. We would support anyone to pursue any Certificates or further education.
