The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our caring and supportive team at De Montfort Veterinary Hospital, located on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds. This is a full-time position for an experienced small animal vet, but part-time applicants would be considered.
4-day week, 1 in 4 weekends, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. Inpatient overnight care provided by us with OOH provided by Vets Now.
The role includes all aspects of general first opinion practice including consultations, surgical and medical cases with time allocated for administration. Certificates are actively encouraged with training and funding available for the right applicant.
About Us
We are a friendly, progressive RCVS accredited small animal veterinary hospital set in the growing market town of Evesham, surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for walking and cycling. Prime locations within close reach with London just 1.5 hours away on a direct train, M5 just 20 minutes, as well as Cheltenham, and Worcester 25 minutes away.
We are a VN training centre, ISFM cat friendly clinic (gold award), RWAF clinic (silver award). We have all the usual up-to-date toys: digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and Idexx analysers and are visited weekly by a diagnostic imaging specialist. We have a varied caseload, including charity work. We provide our own inpatient care with OOH provided by Vets Now. We actively encourage client continuity and collaboration is welcomed within our supportive team.
We have an experienced team of dedicated and caring RVNs and administrative staff who provide excellent support to our team of Vets.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and passionate vet who ideally will have some years’ experience in small animal practice. However, applications from less experienced clinicians will be considered for the right person. The successful candidate will have good personal and communication skills, a love of baking advantageous but not essential! We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic and sense of humour but most importantly a team player.
