The Company:

A successful name in the NZ Design and Build Construction market with nationwide coverage, have secured prominent wins for some larger clients.  Standards are high, their culture is positive, inclusive and focuses on skill development with a high training budget. Currently, they have several projects under construction from $10M - $100M and more in the pipeline for 2022, especially from government clients. With an expanded workload, they now require a competent intermediate or intermediate/senior to join the team to work in a site based role for a major North Shore project.

The Role:

This role will see you get involved with project financial planning/project set up, working with project and site managers to understand construction methodologies, tender management,   managing subcontractors claims, managing and processing variations, final account work in terms of cost reporting and reconciliations. Client engagement and H&S are all part of this role.

Background:

This role would suit an applicant with at least 4- 8 years of commercial main contractor QS experience, including any design and build experience and with relevant tertiary qualifications. You possess great sun contractor relationship development and management skills. You enjoy driving profitability on jobs. and have a sharp eye for identifying any variations savings. Your contractual knowledge is sound and can point to relevant legislation. You are a team person and are able to add value as a team member through your individuality.
