Job Description

Waihōpai Invercargill is New Zealand's southernmost city and the heart and hub of Southland. We're known for our lush green spaces like Queens Park, our long summer daylight hours and our local legend Burt Munro.

This role is key within the Information Services team, being the first port of call to resolve technical issues and support our staff members across the organisation.

Your communication skills will be critical to delivering a high level of service, backed up by a strong knowledge across a broad range of technologies and systems.

This role requires someone with a genuine, positive attitude, strong customer service ethic and strong technical aptitude.

You will thrive under pressure while working as a member of a focused technical team. You will have strong diagnostic skills and a passion to achieve high standards of support to reinforce the ongoing continuous improvement of the services that ICC provides.

What you will bring :

  • Tertiary qualification specialising in computer studies, or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and judgement skills
  • Technical experience and knowledge of the desktop environment, network, server and operating systems
  • Resilient and able to cope well with pressure
  • Self-motivated, high level of personal initiative and flexibility
