As a Senior Technical Designer you will design, iterate on, and sustain live game content and systems to keep our customers engaged with our titles for years to come. Additionally, you will work directly with producers, developers, designers, community managers, support teams, user researchers, data analysts, the Halo community, and our test team to update multiplayer modes and maps, create and curate multiplayer playlists, create PVE content, and tune matchmaking parameters, progression systems, and player rewards for Halo: The Master Chief Collection along with various aspects of the multiplayer experience for other existing Halo titles.
Job responsibilities:
As part of the 343 Industries Publishing Team you will be writing up and presenting innovative game designs to a variety of internal and partner audiences, reviewing and providing constructive and actionable feedback on partner and internal designs. For Halo: The Master Chief Collection you will be tuning player progression and matchmaking systems, updating multiplayer playlists, and designing, prototyping, and deploying new game modes and maps for both PVP and PVE. In addition, you will be designing and collaborating across support, business, community, analytics, and user research teams to roll out new ways to increase engagement and player satisfaction with Halo live content while maintaining healthy and safe spaces for gamers to play. You will leverage cutting edge technologies, custom tools, data, telemetry, game betas and flights, customer input, and internal feedback to build experiences our customers love interacting with. You will participate in all aspects of the development cycle including ideation, implementation, iteration, design reviews, build evaluations, and identifying and fixing defects. You will need to effectively communicate top customer issues and make sure we are designing and developing solutions in our products to keep the community healthy.
