The opportunity

Right now we have great opportunity for a capable Senior Solution Architect (HR) to take the lead in developing solutions which leverage the capabilities of SAP and other HR technologies, now and into the future. Work closely with People and Culture, Transport Shared Services, your IT colleagues and others to ensure solutions deliver desired business outcomes while also aligning to the overall IT architecture and security frameworks. This is a very exciting time to be working in the Hire to Retire process domain at Transport for NSW.

The role partners with Project Managers to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions and also provides guidance to Functional Analysts and other Solution Architects who are engaged through the blended workforce model.

You will:

• Identify, develop and design business improvement solutions on proposed and completed projects and identify opportunities for improving investment planning and delivery processes, developing proposals to senior management to address high priority issues
• Provide high level input to and assist with the effective implementation of a comprehensive architecture plan addressing all elements of the architectural framework ensuring that it is aligned to the IT architectural goals and technology roadmap
• Provide comprehensive technical reports defining and describing the business solutions architecture and relative methodologies and activities required for its maintenance and support
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of approx. 6 technical professionals leading solution design and delivery

About you

You are a confident communicator able to understand business needs through your strong stakeholder engagement, relationship building and influencing capabilities.  Collaborative, resilient and innovative you navigate and prioritise multiple stakeholder expectations and perspectives and thrive in working in a complex, fast moving IT environment.

You have a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of multi-disciplinary specialists and are an innovative, curious individual with excellent problem solving skills. 

You have:

• Extensive and demonstrated previous experience with SAP HR solutions architecture, business and systems requirements, and technical design and analysis in a complex and maturing technical environment
• Experience with contemporary business technologies and architectural frameworks in a multi-sourced and/or federated operating environment
• Experience and knowledge of industry standard development methodologies, tools, and techniques

Salary and Benefits

This is a Transport Senior Service Manager role (salary range: $177,139 - $197,392 package). Starting package will be determined with the successful candidate.
