Azure Resource Graph (ARG) is an index/inventory/catalog of cloud resources and is a core service enabling @scale experiences like Azure Portal, Azure Search, Azure Catalog. It provides a single pane of glass to query resources via a rich query language. These APIs and toolsets are used by large customers and first party teams alike. We are the Azure Resource Graph team connecting billions of cloud resources, and we are hiring for our new Change Analytics service to help Azure Customers track changes across their cloud environments. Our mission is to be the best self-managing, high performing, and highly available change analytics platform both on-premises and in Cloud. Our environment is fast paced and highly innovative. Responsibilities
As a member of the Azure Core team, you will be partnering closely with other engineers, PMs and partners to design and build the correlation, change analysis and enrichment features. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will work on designing, coding, validating, shipping, and running high scale services. You will have the opportunity to use your technical experience to shape the product and its customer experience. We are looking for distributed systems and API experts with a passion for user-facing features and experience working on always available, mission critical systems.
You will be responsible for building mission critical, large scale distributed systems handling billions of requests per day. You will be responsible for: · Providing strong technical leadership, raising the technical bar, maintain data and results-driven culture, nurture a team culture of high collaboration and trust. · Drive long-term architecture and detailed design for highly scalable distributed systems with simplicity and maintainability as core tenets. · Collaborate across Azure to develop platforms that help deliver insights and automation to simplify the complex world of managing planetary scale. · Create clarity and direction in ambiguous problem spaces. · Communicate effectively and partner well with other disciplines of the project team to deliver high quality solutions from ideas to production code. · Write exemplary code working with large scale distributed systems with quality, simplicity, and maintainability as core tenets. · Mentor and develop engineers across all levels through sharing and learning. · Be a role model for open, honest, and inclusive approach to problem solving.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: · 5+ years of hands-on software design and programming experience in Java, C++, C# or object-oriented programming. · 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, monitoring and shipping scalable cloud services.
Preferred qualifications: · Strong customer passion, accountability, and drive to take on initiatives and accomplish goals. · An entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude: Self-starter, project finisher and adaptable. · Great communicator, able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly. · Strong design and problem-solving skills, with a bias for designing at scale. · Hands-on experience at shipping a large scale, commercial, online-software solutions · 2+ years of experience with indexing and columnar database systems either SQL or NoSQL. · 3+ years of building big data or real-time analytics platforms.
