We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineering professional to join our teams in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, UK. This role can be remote based OR hybrid. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.
Collins Aerospace UK Simulation & Training Solutions (STS) provides solutions to the most complex simulation and training challenges for a variety of military & commercial customers around the world. The role requires an experienced Software Engineering professional, working independently or within teams on projects, to develop new products and diagnose and resolve issues on existing products. The role requires a multiple disciplinary approach to design and develop solutions that satisfy end user needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Determines end user needs by analysing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition.
Ensures hardware and software standards are met.
Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Includes control modelling (model based design).
Conducts and coordinates moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Conducts multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilisation of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
Analyses system capabilities and determines end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
Basic Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline, with appropriate proven experience.
