This team’s primary responsibility is to define and defend the Android Security Model. On a day-to-day basis, the team is engaged in building technologies and low-level software in Linux kernel and Android Framework, developing and contributing to systemic hardening of the platform to prevent vulnerabilities from becoming exploits, and also working with industry partners for security/privacy for the whole ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Implement open-source OS functionalities, covering secure storage, scheduling, memory management and security hardening, and more.

Support the team in delivering a robust Trusted Execution Environment for Android. 

Contribute to the software stack that will help secure devices and users worldwide and be part of high profile product launches on first-party devices. 

Contribute to an open source project providing transparency and auditability of the software stack protecting users' information. 

Help build a community and ecosystem of partners and users who are putting security and safety first.
