Our private sector client is hiring Senior SOC Analysts/Cybersecurity Engineers to become key members of their security team.  Responsibilities consist of designing and implementing security solutions to reduce risks, defend or contain threats and mentor SOC Analysts to recognize and prioritize security incidents and how to handle them.

Responsibilities:

• Be a senior member of the cybersecurity team
• Threat, vulnerability and forensics analysis
• Assist on complex security incidents
• Identify cyber threats and methods to combat or defend against them
• Keep current with new threats, new technologies and risk management
• Participate in our ISO 27001 audit and our Information Security Management System
• Lead technical client security assessments and penetration tests working with auditors
• Design and implement security technology solutions for clients such as firewalls
• Advise clients and assist them to improve their security management
• Prepare security reports for client and executives
• Collaborate with network engineers and server engineers to continually improve information security
• Receive advanced training to expand security knowledge
   

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a computer-related field
• 10 years minimum experience in Information Technology as technical resource
• 5 years minimum experience in cybersecurity
• Technical knowledge of and experience in some or all of the following: Microsoft 365 security, Azure, AWS cloud, Microsoft Server and AD hardening, networking design and hardening, firewall, IDS, IPS hardening, vulnerability assessments, pen testing and SIEM Tools
• Knowledge of hacker mentality, tools and methodologies
• 2 years minimum experience handling security incidents
• Excellent analytic thinking, problem-solving skills and is detail oriented
• Good communication skills in English – both verbal and written
• French communication skills would be an asset
• A cybersecurity certificate would be an asset such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+ or manufacturer certifications
• Experience with a cybersecurity framework would be an asset such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST
