As a senior member of the Sales team this role is responsible for proactively soliciting and converting large group and catering related opportunities as well as corporate account RFP’s with a focus on building long-term, value based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel’s sales objectives.

This role is a key contributor to the overall revenue goal and would suit a results driven, dynamic individual. The primary focus of the individual is the development of new accounts and retention and penetration of existing accounts, shift share and increase revenue to Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands in both the MICE and Corporate space.

EXPERIENCE MORE

  • Works with the Cluster Director of Sales to ensure understanding of the sales strategy
  • Sourcing of new corporate accounts. Negotiate corporate rate agreements and go through the RFP process and ongoing management of transient relationships to increase share.
  • Proactively seek out and convert MICE & group opportunities
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
  • Support’s Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands’s Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence through each customer experience
