The opportunity
The Hawkesbury Nepean Valley (HNV) Flood Evacuation Program is a suite of programs TfNSW are delivering as part of the HNV Flood Risk Management Strategy. As the Senior Project Manager, you will provide high-level guidance for the delivery of projects as well as driving project assessments, delivery processes and operations across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and working within a project management framework.
What you will be involved in
Reporting into the Director Capital Projects Development you will get the chance to work in a multi-disciplinary team and across all 3 tiers of government. You will also manage both technical leads and a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Working with a wide range of stakeholders internally & externally you will also:
Lead the development of project proposals and concept designs to deliver outcomes that meet strategic and operational needs
Manage and deliver on each key project phase to the agreed standards, on time and within allocated budgets
Ensure that projects are compliant with the relevant approvals and with any applicable legislation and policy requirements
Oversee all contract documents to ensure appropriate outcomes and to meet relevant requirements and specifications
Prepare sound budgets for projects by ensuring that processes are followed and monitor financial aspects of projects to ensure that they are developed and delivered within agreed budgets
Analyse project completion performance and feedback information for continuous improvement of project planning, development, management and delivery.
About you
We are looking for a senior project manager with tertiary Civil Engineering qualifications, with strong knowledge of construction techniques used in road construction. You will also have experience in small to medium infrastructure project and ideally the implementation of Quality Assurance systems, WH&S, risk environmental management and related computer-based management tools for projects.
We are also looking for someone with exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management skills as you will be working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
