About the team
The Project Property Services Team is a trusted partner and enabler for Transport projects throughout the project lifecycle. The Team is responsible for providing end-to-end project management and property expertise to develop, deliver and complete smart, integrated and sustainable infrastructure and places. The Team is a ‘go to’ project property knowledge bank for TfNSW projects.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Property to manage the end-to-end property lifecycle for the Great Western Highway Upgrade. You will lead all property activities needed to support this time critical, complex, and multi-faceted project and be responsible being the interface between the Project Teams, other Divisions within TfNSW, external stakeholders and service providers.
Strategic guidance and financially sustainable and innovative solutions are a key focus. The role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that all key internal and external stakeholders and partners are aligned to the same big picture goal. In addition, the role will take proactive steps in sharing lessons learnt to influence wider organisational discussions, decisions and initiatives across Infrastructure and Place (I&P) division.
The role will ensure TfNSW meets its property specific obligations under the project deeds, Planning Conditions of Approval, and any other property deliverables and obligations in developing and delivering projects

About you
You are a seasoned Senior Project Manager looking for an opportunity to deliver end to end project services within an exciting and large Transport/Maritime portfolio.
You have extensive project initiation, scoping, procurement, contract management, project delivery and reporting experience. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of NSW Government processes and knowledge of leading edge project management tools and systems.
You are someone who works collaboratively with others and builds and maintains strong team relationships. The successful candidate will be committed to managing and prioritising competing demands and responsibilities in a busy and evolving environment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Broad property knowledge and experience
A pro-active, collaborative, solutions focused, principled, empathetic, strategic, versatile, innovative nature and be comfortable working within time and budget constraints
Proven track record in successfully managing property deliverables in complex, politically and commercially sensitive and highly visible environments
Senior management experience while dealing with delivery issues and skilled in identifying, sharing, and implementing lessons learnt and best practice processes
A strong focus and be adaptable, calm and make sound decisions under pressure and not be afraid of getting involved and having difficult conversations to ensure that property decisions and actions undertaken by the project are soundly based
Experience working within a matrix management structure and building and maintaining successful positive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
Highly advanced communication skills and acted as a trusted advisor on projects, sharing your experience in the ins-and-outs of relevant legislation such as Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991, Roads Act 1993, and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Transport Administration Act 1988, construction contracts, and property related obligations under the State Significant Infrastructure Planning Approval Conditions.
