About the team: 

The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering a once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. The Development Branch within the Infrastructure and Place division is responsible for the development of transport and place solutions that facilitate broader economic, social and environmental outcomes.

 

The Opportunity: 

Due to the unprecedented scale of investment in the Transport for NSW Future Transport strategy we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Development Officer to join our growing  Wollongong based Regional Infrastructure Development team working across southern regional NSW. You will be responsible for supporting the early development of road and bridge infrastructure projects through to completion of the concept design and environmental approval.

 

 

Key accountabilities

 

Deliver detailed project scoping and project development activities in consultation with the Project Development Manager to ensure major infrastructure projects meet Government and Transport for NSW objectives.

Contribute to the development and implementation of community engagement plans to ensure effective community consultation in the development phase of projects, and interact with affected community members.

Deliver detailed project development briefs and monitor the quality of design and other work by professional service contractors or internal service providers to ensure designs meet agreed criteria, benefits and user requirements.

Deliver regular project monitoring and reporting progress to the or Project Development Manager to contribute to ensuring cost effective project resource procurement projects provide value for money, are implemented to agreed time, cost and quality and are consistent with operational and maintenance requirements.

Commission and manage the delivery of environmental impacts assessments to ensure appropriate environmental management practices on projects and compliance with Review of Environmental Factors (REF) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) legislation.

 

 

About you:

 

You will have relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in; planning, engineering, project management or a related discipline. With a proven experience in planning, project management or project development with multi-disciplinary, infrastructure projects.

 

 

Essential requirements

 

Tertiary qualifications and experience in planning, civil engineering, project management or related discipline.

Experience in project management or the development of complex infrastructure projects

Demonstrated ability to coordinate the delivery of environmental assessments and assess designs.

The successful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours or to travel on occasion.

Salary and Benefits

 

Transport Service Grade USS 9 ($116,939.00 - $125,712.00per annum) plus superannuation and leave loading.
