About the team

The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation $28 billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come.

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Delivery Officers to join our Project Delivery Team. These roles will support the development and implementation of delivery strategy and improvement initiatives across a portfolio of projects.

Key accountabilities:

 

Support investigations to identify and define diverse business requirements and specify effective business solutions through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisational change.

Identify, plan, develop and implement business improvement opportunities on proposed and completed projects across a portfolio of complex initiatives; identify and develop opportunities for improving delivery processes, developing proposals to senior management to address high priority issues.

Support the day-to-day project interactions, collaborating closely with project teams and matrix functions to deliver on agreed initiatives which may include the optimisation of existing processes or the rollout of new delivery initiatives.

Support the management of the pipeline of projects transitioning into and out of delivery.

Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiations and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.

Monitor and evaluate aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, risks, areas of opportunity or share lessons learnt that will optimise the delivery of project outcomes.

Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision-making; build and refine capabilities and processes to drive improvement and effectiveness.

Demonstrate the five ways of leading behaviours to deliver organisational outcomes for our customers, our people and communities for the greater good.

About you

 

Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in project management and project support services.

Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and partnerships to facilitate the provision of advice and exchange of information and analysis on delivery issues and requirements.

Demonstrated experience in supporting complex or sensitive projects, including the high-level ability to set clear goals and implement systems to ensure projects meet agreed objectives.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is a USS10 salary banding ($128,887 - $140,851 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading).
