Job Description

Our clients are looking for a Level 3 Programmer Analyst/Software Developer to work on a long-term Defence Program. The tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Assign, coordinate and review activities of Programmer/Software Developers on related applications that share existing program code and class structures;
• Develop, test and implement sub-systems of larger systems that share existing program code and class structures;
• Gather and analyse data by monitoring application performance. The performance data will establish a baseline to establish the technical and economic feasibility of proposed computer systems; and monitor application performance against established performance baselines, noticing trends, using online statistical and automated tools and client feedback in order to plan for and anticipate application growth;
• Provide technical research into various issues as requested by the technical authority; and
• Any other Programmer/Analyst Level 3 related tasks requested by the TA to support operations.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience as a Programmer/Analyst;
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years in C++ using MS Visual Studio for application development;
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within past five (5) years in Oracle PL SQL;
•  Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years developing (10,000 users with 1000+ concurrent users) HRMS applications;
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years programming using 2 tier Oracle broker technology;
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years of data modeling;
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years of data integration using SQL Navigator; and
• Three (3) years of demonstrated experience within the past five (5) years developing software within an Agile development environment.

Additional Nice-to-have/Rated Requirements

• A post-secondary education. (College/CEGEP diploma or University degree)
• Experience developing HRMS applications within the past four (4) years
• Experience developing HRMS software applications for large organizations within the past four (4) years.
