Job Description

We’re looking for a program manager to lead our team’s partner-and-field-focused activities and ecosystem, for SharePoint Online, Viva Connections, Viva Topics and OneDrive. You will be expected to define a strategy to achieve ODSP’s adoption, consumption and usage goals through our various field and partner channels and programs, to drive this strategy through to success, to graduate our data-driven low-scale initiatives into high-scale net-new motions, and to translate the results into relevant, impactful data-driven, measurable outcomes. 

 

To be successful, you will need to work closely with our organizational leadership team to influence and deliver programs based on the feedback you receive from these channels. You will be expected to become a recognized and identified leader and point of contact across all of these channels, including various internal stakeholders across the Microsoft field and partner organizations. You will also be expected to use your influence to align these roles to our strategies and guidance, thus contributing to maximizing adoption and satisfaction of our customers with the service.  

Responsibilities

Set, drive, manage, and report on a strategy to achieve ODSP’s adoption, consumption and usage goals through our various partner and field channels and programs. 

Define and own clear, data-driven targets that translate the partner and field strategy into measurable consumption and usage outcomes for specific features and behaviors that are relevant to ODSP; and then drive the work needed to achieve metrics success. This includes creating and compiling the necessary metrics and data sources from the appropriate external systems and bringing them to our organization. 

Drive partner recruitment, enablement, demand generation and technical delivery all the way to final measurable outcomes, including attainment of ODSP consumption and usage goals. This requires communication at all levels, from one-to-many events, calls, and messaging all the way to one-on-one partner interactions and relationship management. 

Collaborate across the various field organizations (including, but not limited to, CSU, STU,   ATU, MCS) and FastTrack to influence metrics, drivers, incentives and programs, and align them to ODSP-relevant objectives; and represent the outcomes of this work via ODSP-relevant metrics. 

Be ODSP’s eyes and ears in the partner ecosystem by looking at the business left to right and adding meaningful insights to leadership to help drive the business forward; as well as identifying early signals that suggest risks and opportunities, and proactively finetuning the strategy to maximize success for ODSP consumption and usage goals. 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience and skills 

 

The ideal candidate will bring a host of skills and experiences including: 

 

Deep experience with the Microsoft partner ecosystem and/or Microsoft field organizations, including our partner organizations and various partner types (SI, ISV, etc) as well as incentive, readiness and delivery programs (CPOR, MCAP, FRP, etc); or, in the case of field, the CSU, STU, ATU, FastTrack, MCS and others, as well as their drivers, challenges, and paths to success. 

Rigorous strategy definition and execution: Strategic thinking, insight & analysis, Drive for results, and influencing for impact. Ability to develop written strategic plans for the business based on analysis as well as partner feedback, while also bringing strong execution capabilities to complex opportunities. 

Strong data analysis skills to analyze business performance and develop useful insights from data. Must feel comfortable self-servicing data from our various data analysis tools; must have a growth mindset around developing technical skills to collect, harvest and analyze data. 

Cross-group communication, collaboration and influencing skills: Ability to build strong relationships and work closely with members of various teams across the company to achieve our business goals and help others also be successful at achieving their objectives. 

Balance of technical and business acumen, with the capability to ramp up quickly as needed. Experience with SharePoint and Viva Connections/Topics technologies preferred.  

 

Education and Experience 

A university/college degree  

10+ years relevant experience in technology and partner management. 

Strong product and audience skills to help drive product decisions based on customer needs 

Proven experience successfully operating in a global, highly matrixed environment required 

Proven experience having led 1:few or 1:many communications or presentations with different audiences. 

Ability to adjust working time zones at times based on partner community needs 

High degree of executive maturity required with strong collaboration skills 

Proven experience and propensity towards hands-on data analysis
