Responsibilities
As an Offer Type Manager, you will run the certification and certification support service for our COMPUTE offer types (Azure VMs, Azure Apps and Containers) within our commercial marketplace. You will own the end-to-end Marketplace certification experience and will be required to drive the health and performance of certification of offers submitted by Marketplace partners for these specific offer types. You will directly manage any critical business projects or engineering releases that will impact these offer types, and ultimately leverage your expertise in this area to influence the Marketplace strategy.
Furthermore, you will be accountable for specific certification SLA’s and metrics for the offer type that is owned by the service manager. You will also lead offer type v-teams and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to drive partner success in the area of Commercial Marketplace offer certification, in order to influence prioritization and strategic direction of the offer type amongst various stakeholders, including product groups.
In this role, there are many stakeholders you will need to collaborate with to define and execute on people, processes and technology to enable commercial Marketplace to achieve monumental growth and partner success. Stakeholders include various Product groups, Marketplace Engineering and Marketplace Business groups as well as Commercial Marketplace Operations Core Services and C+E Engineering Operations teams for delivering quality experiences for your offer types.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years' experience in technical or operational program management experience working with product or platform engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in engineering or related field.
Azure fundamentals technical certification, related cloud architecture technical certification
Technical certification related to cloud architecture solutions, especially for the VM, Azure Apps and Containers offer type that the role will be responsible for.
Existing understanding of Containers and templating
Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving ability
Ability to navigate a complex organization to reach a goal or objective, effective at positioning gives/gets, and has outstanding executive presence and presentation skills
Ability to engage and influence product and platform engineering teams to influence publisher experience and customer experience for those offer type categories.
Proven communication skills to effectively drive recommendations and land priorities across senior executives and across organizational boundaries
