Job Description

The Azure Customer + Partner Engineering team (Azure CPE) is responsible for customer and partner engineering engagements across Microsoft Cloud investments including Azure Edge + Platform and Azure Arc enabled infrastructure and services.  The technologies included span Windows Server, Azure Stack family, Azure Arc, Edge Zones, and AI/ML + IoT.   In addition to the partner ecosystem, the team is responsible for delivering a holistic customer centered scenario approach to our hybrid and edge story and how it integrates with the broader Azure story to drive clarity in field sales engagements, drive Azure customer growth, adoption, and satisfaction.  

Azure CPE is ultimately responsible for accelerating and amplifying customer and partner feedback loops, informing solution architecture, product capabilities and Microsoft’s Azure E+P roadmap, while driving scale motions.  The Azure CPE team is a fun, open and diverse team that values respect of each other and constituents with which we partner.  

As a Senior Program Manager on the Azure Customer + Partner Engineering team, you will own a customer facing program to engage on Early Adopter Programs and technical field sales enablement.  As part of this role, you will partner across Azure to modernize the way Microsoft validates new software with customers prior to making it generally available. You will also be responsible for managing the customer relationships and other PM resources to ensure successful validation while identifying blocking software bugs or requested enhancements.    

Successful candidates should have a proven track record of strong technical design, ability to independently drive cross-group engagements, and familiarity with the tools and processes of cloud and solution developers building hybrid cloud and highly reliable solutions.  

 

Both remote work and on-site candidates will be considered.

  • Identify, engage and manage a core set of customers through an Early Adopter Program 
  • Evangelize and educate Microsoft technical field sellers in the aligned technology 
  • Building partnerships with peer teams across Azure to drive great end-to-end customer experiences 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Required Qualifications:  

  • 7+ years of proven product management and project leadership expertise  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Executive presence and ability to influence business leaders through business value propositions  
  • Strong experience of matrix managing virtual teams across functions and geographies  
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment  
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort  
  • Challenger mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through  
  • Excellent technical aptitude with a deep understanding of hybrid cloud services  
  • Knowledge of the market and industry, competitors, and customer needs  
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent related years of industry experience  

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
