As part of the Supply Chain Engineering (SCE) team, you will drive value into our supply chain operations by delivering world-class supply chain planning and supplier collaboration solutions. You will develop trusted advisor relationships with operations leaders in both the Devices and Cloud supply chains to understand the needs of these strategic businesses. You will partner closely with software engineers, employing a product mindset, and drive automation and scale into planning operations. You will be empowered to lead software investments that will directly impact billions of dollars in capital investments towards meeting the demands of Microsoft’s global customers. The charter for this role is specific to a multi-year strategic investment in the Cloud supply chain. You will be at the heart of a major digital transformation for the Spares & Warranty operation covering Microsoft’s server install base across Azure and Office. You will act both as the lead PM for the Supply Planning and Supplier Collaboration tracks and as the lead PM from SCE to ensure E2E value delivery.
Responsibilities
Deliver planning product innovations (SAP Integrated Business Planning & Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration) by employing and cultivating a product engineering mindset across the team.
Drive an inclusive planning process for each product or initiative, balancing partner input and driving alignment across Microsoft, especially teams in software engineering, operations, and data science.
Translate ambiguous problems and strategic visions into customer scenarios, effectively communicating from customer to technical delivery.
Drive leadership-level conversations on product investment sequencing, value realization, and difficult trade-offs.
Proactively mitigate critical risks to the product delivery and future roadmap.
Employ data analytics to continually measure and improve product performance, to measure leading and lagging indicators of outcome, building a culture of data-driven decision making.
Communicate to GM and CVP level audiences with clarity, energy, and persuasiveness.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.
Qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience working with major first or third-party systems in implementation, operation, and configuration in a supply chain context.
5 - 10 years of experience performing product management and/or implementing automation systems.
3 - 5 years experience writing product requirements, business requirements, or functional requirements.
3 – 5 years demonstrated leadership skills, proven in creating clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.
1 – 3 years experience presenting and communicating effectively to GM or Director level audiences.
Preferred, not required:
MS degree in quantitative field or MBA
SAP IBP and/or Ariba consultant certification
Working knowledge / experience in ERP, preferably SAP ECC or S/4, as well as Master Data solutions (preferably SAP MDG).
5 - 10 years expertise in supply chain, specifically planning (demand, capacity, supply, S&OP, Integrated Business Planning, inventory).
5 - 10 years experience in implementing and using SAP based supply chain solutions (SAP APO, SAP IBP, SAP Ariba).
5 - 7 years demonstrated proficiency in executive level presentations and communications.
Ability to quickly learn existing concepts and employ new techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills, including technical and inter-personal challenges.
