Responsibilities

We are looking for an energetic, customer-obsessed and self-starter Program Manager to help take our storage technologies to the next level.

 

Job responsibilities will involve:

  • Listen and understand customer requirements, and translate them into viable product roadmaps, strategy, and motions with the ability to communicate with broad stakeholders
  • Keep a close eye on open source and industry trends for product success
  • Drive end to end product development including product specification, user experience, go to market plan and success metrics.
  • Deepen the integration of Azure Storage with Azure Container offerings to provide a simple and frictionless experience
  • Grow our partner ecosystem to provide unique offerings on Azure
  • Drive workload certifications and generate best practice whitepapers for customer adoption

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated customer focus and end-to-end thinking across product areas
  • Ability to identify out-of-box solutions and identifying opportunities.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skills are a must for this role.
  • Strong, demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills; an ability to define common requirements across a wide range of diverse customers; and a passion for simplicity in design and user experience
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with system architecture and optimization with a track record of successful solution delivery (e.g., implementing a solution that drives results)
  • Critical thinking skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of professional technical program or product management experience
  • 2+ years designing, shipping, and operating large-scale, public cloud services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Advanced Sciences or equivalent relevant experience 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines
  • Experience building or integrating with Kubernetes, and other container technologies
  • Hands on experience running, participating, or contributing to a technical OSS community project
  • Experience with storage, filesystems, distributed systems, and virtualization technologies
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Expertise in common open-source performance assessment suites

 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: 

 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
