The Azure Dedicated team is looking for a driven program manager who has solid product shipping experience and a “do what it takes” approach combined with a strong technical acumen to deliver on our Azure VMware initiatives and help customers run their VMware in Azure.

We are responsible for building and offering specialized hardware and bare-metal solutions on Azure. This involves large scale specialized solutions like SAP Hana, Azure VMWare Solutions and super computers like Cray and more. We build high scale distributed systems for massive planetary scale and we build systems that are fully automated end to end. Such an undertaking requires deep expertise in computer science fundamentals, ranging from hardware, operating systems, storage, networking to distributed design, focus on quality, sustainability and performance.

To succeed in this role, technical & delivery skills, people skills, communications, cross team development and engaging proactively in areas of product management are critical. Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end technical and solution requirements gathering,  design and delivery of complex Azure VMware features / scenarios  based on customer data, feedback and demand from across global Azure customers.
• Work with leadership, customers and business partners and engineering group to make sure that the scope and direction of the  individual projects/workstreams is driven clearly and with good risk assessment and regular, concise updates to stakeholders
• Make sure we build compliant and secure offerings adhering to the security & compliance standards for enterprise ready offerings
• Structure and solve complex problems, communicate to senior decision makers in a clear, compelling way, and drive decisive action in partnership with others in a large organization.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Infrastructure Strategy and/or product management or program management
• Strong core platform architecture concepts including hardware platform, hypervisor, Networking, security, data protection, high availability, monitoring & alerting, patching, migration
• Familiarity with VMware products (level 200-300) as well as VMware ecosystem
• Strong presentation, influencing, cross group collaboration and communication skills. 

Education Qualifications
• BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or technology-focused discipline or equivalent experience
