The Azure Edge and Platform Observability team seeks a motivated, experienced professional to lead product management for a large-scale service managing the collection of telemetry data across millions of devices and services. For this attractive opportunity, we’re looking for customer-obsessed individuals with a growth mindset to be part of the project’s spearhead and join a group of engineers who are building the next version of the product.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Azure engineering teams and other internal Microsoft groups to deliver features, capabilities, and operational systems to support Microsoft’s largest customers
• Creatively resolve blocking issues to enable the delivery of Azure capabilities
• Ensure security, identity, and compliance requirements are adequately addressed and built into Azure services
• Gain trust and influence broad stakeholders including engineering teams, partner orgs, and peers
• Be a key liaison to customers, listen to them, and drive qualitative feedback into feature design

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical background and analytical skills, with the ability to work directly with both customer and engineering teams. You should also have a focus on project delivery and strong strategic thinking, with the ability to identify new ways of looking at problems and identifying opportunities. Excellent collaboration, communication and coordination skills are a must for this role. You should be a creative problem solver, with the ability to lead virtual teams through ambiguity and, of course, have a clear passion for partners and customers.

Qualifications

Required:
• 6+ years of technical program or product management experience in a cloud environment
• BA/BS or MS degree in computer science, engineering or related disciplines
• Excellent cross group collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams to deliver on product milestones
• Exceptional communication, strong leadership and influencing skills

Preferred:
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements to deliver results in an environment of ambiguity
• You must be detail oriented and able to rapidly come up to speed on complex technologies and architectures
