Job Description

Bing Ads Team (Content Monetization & Auction Services) is looking for growth hackers who are passionate about driving customer engagement and revenue growth on our various consumer-facing Web, Mobile, and App properties.  The right candidate will have experience leveraging feature experimentation and data analysis to drive informed decisions, along with the resolve to press forward with inquisitive innovation. This business owner will drive customer engagement and revenue features on MSN, Edge, MSN Mobile, MSN Apps, Bing and future canvases.

The Bing Ads Team holds direct accountability for revenue & contribution margin to Microsoft via all our canvases and consumer experiences, as well as an ambitious set of targets for optimizing consumer adoption of the broader Windows ecosystem through targeted and mediated digital content and advertising techniques.  This role will require a balance of digital promotions understanding, product vision, and cross-team coordination for delivery of complex features via detail-oriented project execution.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Relentless customer advocacy across all dimensions of utility (Form/Function/Value).
  • The core focus of this position is to conceive, define, and drive features focused on improving Monetization and Engagement.
  • Be an Entrepreneur: Participate in ideation, functional specification, coordination, and execution of monetization & engagement experimentation across Web & App, Desktop & Mobile canvases.
  • Be a Leader: Drive your feature set from goal and scenario setting, to MVP definition, through experimentation to ultimate “go/no-go” decision.
  • Be a Data and Growth Hacker: Understand and interpret the data that governs the success of our business, and ensure that your efforts align with moving core metrics “up and to the right.” You must deliver the right outcomes as part of a culture of data driven, scenario focused engineering team.
  • Be a Team Player: Partner across teams to drive a balance of experimentation driven features and long range big-bets.  Focus on defining and driving the right outcomes vs. being individually “right.”  Work closely with back-end/services/shell teams to find the right crawl/walk/run approaches that rapidly enable customer and business value.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Customer-facing product delivery experience, preferably across both packaged product and online services spaces.
  • Passion for driving the bottom line, and working to find the right balance of healthy tensions between user-focused features and business KPI’s.
  • Comfortable and experienced in leveraging data to find deeper insights into customer and market patterns that can shape future experiments/capability investments.
  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science equivalent related degree and/or experience.
  • Superior communications skills, both verbal and written.

Any of the following a plus:

  • Demonstrated Program Management experience, with a balance of UX and services tier focus.
  • Data analysis/processing experience (minimum 3 years, preferred 5 years). Experience on web domain is a plus.
  • Experience with A/B flighting and experimentation capabilities preferred, including treatment vs. control data analysis and interpretation.
  • Experience working in scrum & agile, Kanban, and waterfall sdlc’s – and comfortable interchanging between them based on needs of program teams.
  • Experience in the Ad Industry, Windows Shell, Apps, Online Publishing / Services space a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising technologies and trends a plus.
  • MBA a plus.
