The Microsoft Industry Clouds & Solutions team is bringing together the best that Microsoft Cloud has to offer and build and ship industry clouds, such as the Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services, the Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare, the Microsoft Cloud for Manufacturing, and more, to meet the needs of some of the biggest companies in the world. 

To support the growth of our Microsoft Cloud for Financial Services, we are looking for candidates who are willing to “think big” yet go “hands on” in developing artifacts that drive strategy, showing an orientation towards the details that make up a successful strategy.  

Successful candidates are excited by going deep – understanding an industry and its business processes, competitors, market dynamics including ISV/SI partners and M&A activities, with a passion for technology including business workflows and emerging innovative technology trends.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include:  

• Understand the Financial Services industry, including demonstrated ability to distill specific problems, personas, and value for solving key customer pain points;  

• Drive the growth and engagement metrics for your areas by interpreting business dashboards and distilling key opportunities for growth;
• Understand how customers use technology to enable their business transformation;   

• Drive the designs and product strategies that will become the benchmark for innovation;  
• Understand the competitive landscape, to inform product vision and to identify areas of opportunity;  
• Work closely with a highly talented team of software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver exceptional product deliverables through detailed product specs;  
• With an execution focused mindset, demonstrate ability to roll up your sleeves, working with various engineering, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and field teams to drive top customer/partner success and turn those learnings into scalable programs;  
• Partner with local and remote product teams;  
• Participate in rhythm of business activities within the team and across the org to ensure end-to-end success of initiatives;  

• Provide clarity and focus while analyzing and translating business needs into clear requirements for engineering teams; 
• Communicate clearly about projects, risks, and accomplishments on behalf of the team;

Qualifications

Required qualifications: 

• Proven expereince in strategy, consulting, product planning, or related program management roles including analysis and research and cross-group collaboration activities with the aim of influencing outcomes;  
• Demonstrated expereince in product management on end-user facing experiences; 
• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills working with a variety of stakeholders;  

• Experience successfully collaborating/partnering across teams within and outside of an organization;  
• Strong analytical skills including thinking strategically, performing research to drive data-driven decision making at a team and organizational level, applying technical depth to business problems;  
• Influence without authority; get the right outcomes through healthy relationship building.  

Preferred qualifications:  

• B.S. and/or MBA in strategy or technology related disciplines  
• Experience with technology applications within the financial services industry and/or working knowledge around D365 / Power Platform / M365 / Azure in the context of business workflows (or equivalent competitor technologies). 
• Ability to build quick proof of concepts with Power Platform. 
• Familiarity with the Financial Services industry and customer scenarios
