We are looking for a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join the core Azure marketing team responsible for virtual desktop technology in the cloud. Remote work is here to stay and has accelerated this fast-growing segment in the cloud market. Together we will build a high-impact GTM strategy with great storytelling and differentiated product strategy. This role will require working closely across teams, including Azure and Windows marketing, engineering, sales, and partner teams. The ideal candidate will take the outside-in view of customer experience, demonstrate powerful storytelling skills, and work in an inclusive, collaborative way.
Key responsibilities include:
• Gain insight into customer use of current products from Microsoft and competitors, understand buyer personas, identify untapped opportunities and develop strategic marketing programs to meet these needs
• Be a subject matter expert and develop clear and engaging content such as pitch decks, solution sheets, demos, blogs, videos and workshops
• Lead cross-team efforts to grow technical skilling across field, partner, and customer channels
• Engage and grow the Azure Virtual Desktop tech community of passionate experts
• Create joint marketing programs with our value-add technology partners
• Present to customers and partners at Microsoft events, webinars, and executive briefings
• Partner closely with sales and engineering teams to integrate customer voice and requirements into our Azure offerings
Successful candidate will possess:
• Customer obsession: Have a deep outside-in empathy for customer experience and success
• Storytelling: Be a natural storyteller with the ability to thread customer value with product truth and adjust content from level 50 to 300 based on the audience.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills at all levels
• Passion for technology: Ability to envision and articulate end-to-end value propositions and customer scenarios
• Intellectual curiosity: Likes to dig into the details, solve interesting problems, and create new opportunities for the business
• Collaboration: Strong cross-team collaboration and communication skills to drive influence across a highly-matrixed organization
• Self-starter: Can create and manage multiple projects effectively while driving to measurable results
• 4-6 years of product management and marketing experience and/or technical pre-sales or related technology experience, including experience in cloud / SaaS / VDI environments is preferred; Bachelor’s Degree required, and MBA is a plus
