Microsoft Edge, the new browser from Microsoft, has already reached over 400 million users worldwide. It’s often the first app customers launch and experience on Windows and a place they visit frequently throughout their day to get things done, making it one of the most important products in the entire Microsoft ecosystem.

 

The Education team within Microsoft Edge aims to make Microsoft Edge the best browser for education. The education landscape has shifted fundamentally over the course of the last 18 months as students and educators have adapted and rapidly shifted towards hybrid learning models. These new models of learning are here to stay and technology has an important role to play in ensuring equitable access to education. As a Program Manager on the Education team on Edge, you’ll listen and learn from our customers and put together compelling browser experiences that will drive improved learning outcomes for students and educators and creates a community of fans for the Edge browser. You will identify new opportunities, define success metrics that tie back to customer outcomes, and rapidly prototype and test solutions with your engineering team. You’ll use telemetry to analyze usage and feedback and iterate frequently as you launch new solutions at amazing product quality, evangelize them and measure success.

You will be working with and backed by a talented and motivated teams of engineers and researchers/designers to define and execute on our vision to make everyone more productive, safe, and empowered on the web.  You will enjoy success on this team by being a strong collaborator that effectively works with developers, designers, marketing, and user researchers to plan, build, and ship features that will delight and grow our customer base.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Fundamental user-research to identify/refine both the problem and solution area.
  • Collaborate with design team to define the end-to-end user experience.
  • Define specs and collaborate with Engineering team to ship these experiences.
  • Work with other partner teams – Other feature teams on Edge, Marketing teams, Partner teams like Bing, etc to deliver true ‘One-Microsoft’ experiences.
  • Leverage experimentation and data platform to run various experiments and optimize for the desired growth impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related product development experience shipping multiple software products.
  • BS/MS in computer science or related field preferably with an MBA.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven competency in organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, drive for results, and written and verbal communications.
  • Experience building software products with diverse engineering and design teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience driving product led growth initiatives leveraging strong data-driven decision making. 
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working in agile teams with strong customer focus.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with multiple partner teams.
  • High energy and drive to reach out to stakeholders, socialize and drive consensus.
  • Demonstrated ability of independently handling a complex area.
  • Passion for experience design and creativity.
  • Ability to own and become a subject matter expert in a specific area.
  • Exceptional teamwork and values that foster a positive team culture.
  • Ability to connect with customers and draw insights from primary and secondary data.
  • Technical competence and strong analytical skills.
