Here, we work at pace to deliver products and insights which will help delight our customers. This means we need all of our data squads to work efficiently at scale and this is where the ‘Capability’ team comes in. We build tools which can be re-used across many teams to improve the efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security of our data ecosystem.

Your role will be to set the product vision, roadmap and prioritise the work of a squad, using data metrics to show progress. You’ll work in close collaboration with our Engineers, helping to remove impediments impacting successful delivery. You’ll work directly with the internal customers and colleagues to ensure we build the right solutions which will successfully contribute to the company strategy.

Having technical and/or data experience is preferable but not essential. As well as owning products you’ll also be shaping the environment and culture of building and contributing to shared assets and capabilities.

More about the role

  • You’ll support the strategy and develop specific roadmaps and backlogs for products, building in complete end to end customer experiences that deliver on agreed product metrics (OKRs)
  • You’ll own the customer and business value for specific products, including securing support through the appropriate process and relevant technology teams
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery in product management for specific products, ensuring activity is prioritised in line with the agreed product goals and metrics
  • You’ll maintain a realistic 90-day roadmap, as well as a prioritised, estimated FY backlog and regularly communicating progress, proactively managing risks/issues to remove blockers
  • Lead the collaboration within both the core family team, other product teams and 3rd parties to launch new product features, maximising re-use across the business
  • Evaluation of potential partner relationships; helping to identify necessary and/or desirable third-party technology to evaluate and select vendors 
  • You’ll support the communication and resolution of live product incidents and effectively prioritise, coordinate and communicate the resolution of production issues

  • Commercial Acumen: Understands commercial drivers and market context behind their product/s. Able to articulate the business benefits and to track effort and value delivery, using this insight to inform prioritisation
  • Customer Focus: Focused on understanding, anticipating and exceeding their customers' needs. Able to effectively manage customers' and stakeholders' expectations. Considers broader opportunities for their product/s to add value
  • Data Driven: Drives the use of product metrics, seeking out and able to appropriately use the data and insight required to make informed decisions. Monitors performance of their product/s
