We are on a hugely exciting journey with data to develop a world-class team here at TalkTalk. The Senior Digital Analyst role will play a huge part in executing our data strategy. You'll be responsible for maintaining and advancing digital product analytics partnerships within our product teams and you will also contribute to perpetuating our data-first culture which champions the power of insight through experimentation.

Successful digital product analytics partnering will be achieved through requirements gathering, surfacing problem using digital data insight to create experimentation problem statements and ensure the correct measurement, monitoring and analysis of digital product performance. This will require you to be closely aligned with the strategic direction of specific domains and to live and breathe their specific goals and objectives. 

Your ability to influence key stakeholders - up to and including Directors – within our Consumer and Technology business-facing organisations will be crucial.

This is what the day to day will look like:

  • Improve the measurement and optimisation of digital products and our customer's digital experience through:

    • Insight led generation of problem statements and hypotheses

    • Support self-serve analytics through dashboard development and training end-users

    • Monitoring, measuring and reporting on experiments/AB tests

  • Work in partnership with the optimisation leads and digital product owners to support experimentation programmes

  • Advance how we measure our digital products by partnering with the operational insight teams to blend multiple data sources (both digital and operational) and develop measurement tools and KPI’s which are closely aligned to business needs

  • Play a crucial role in driving cultural change at TalkTalk, raising awareness to the power of data, insight and experimentation and contributing to a vision that people can get behind and feel excited about throughout the business

  • Support the tag management and analytics analyst by providing clear business requirements, collaborating on measurement design and help identify digital data quality issues. 

What do I need in order to be successful?

Technical:  

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of digital analytics (GA, GA360, Big Query, Adobe et al) and SQL to some level, including dashboard development and a good awareness of working with multiple data sources and visualisation best practice. 

  • Prior experience of some, but not all of the following technologies: 

- Experimentation platforms (Maxymiser/Monetate/Optimizley et al) 

- Dashboarding Tools (Google Data Studio, Power BI, Tableau) 

- Web Technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Server-Side Testing, Single Page Applications) 

- SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure, Data Bricks 

Soft / Non Technical Skills 

  • Prior experience of applying the ability to learn (formally or self-taught) a programming language such as SQL, JavaScript, R or Python, HTML, CSS and applying it in a work or personal context 

  • Track record of collaborating with senior leaders on strategic initiatives with an ability to influence & generate confidence. Easily able to build interpersonal relationships 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with an ability to generate insights across multiple sources of data and define where need tag measurement plans for new product and feature 

  • Experience of working with complex customer journeys involving several touchpoints with the ability to quickly appraise complex situations, identify key issues and make tough, timely decisions
