About the team

The Infrastructure and Place (IP) division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation multi-billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come. We are dedicated and passionate team that is proud of the work we do and the supportive and flexible team culture we have built.  Our work can entail project management and assurance, commercial management, engineering and technical advisory and precinct renewal and place making.

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for an experienced “Senior Procurement Officer”, to join us in the Commercial Performance and Strategy (CPS) branch.

In this role you will assist the Senior Manager Procurement, Procurement Managers and Procurement cross-functional teams during each stage of procurement activities ensuring effective administration of all procurement process outcomes, and overseeing compliance with all procurement policies, processes and procedures and governance frameworks.

The responsibilities will include:

Managing the end-to-end procurement process for projects with input from the Senior Manager, Procurement, Procurement Manager and the procurement cross-functional team and in compliance with relevant policies, standards, procedures and frameworks.

Lead and manage source-to-contract process including engaging and influencing internal clients, conducting primary analytics, developing procurement strategies, developing tender evaluation plans, RFx and contract documentation, leading market engagement and evaluation, leading tender negotiations and contract award.

Document procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements fully to provide an audit trail for probity and audit purposes.

About you

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement CPS & TS you will be the subject matter expert on all key procurement policies and procedures, assuring processes are being followed against governance frameworks, and the timely and accurate provision of procurement policy and governance advice to stakeholders across the cluster.

You are a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer with demonstrated 5-10 years’ experience and capability in Procurement or a Commercial related discipline.

You have extensive communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience. You have proven ability in the achievement of tight deadlines. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of the NSW Procurement Policy framework.

You are someone who works collaboratively with others and has experience in building and maintaining strong relationships. The successful candidate will be committed to managing and prioritising competing demands and responsibilities in a busy and evolving environment.

To be successful in this role you will require the ability to plan, prioritise and organise work while delivering on tight deadlines, have strong attention to detail, be customer focused, demonstrate drive and commitment, and have effective negotiation skills.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Grade 8 ($120,423 - $134,872) - per annum plus superannuation
