What you'll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in undertaking dispersion modelling assessments, with experience undertaking other types of air quality assessments.
  • Experience in summarising air quality assessment outcomes in standalone reports and/or environmental approval documents.
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth and State legislation and guidelines across Australia.
  • Broader experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and development of bid submissions would be viewed favourably.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced air quality consultant to join our growing multi-disciplinary environment & sustainability team in Australia, which covers all aspects of environmental assessment, monitoring and permitting, carbon management, climate resilience, sustainable building and infrastructure design, and corporate sustainability reporting and strategy development.

As part of a global multi-disciplinary and multisector organisation, this role will offer you the opportunity to: develop your career within our highly successful international business; work on many high-profile and world-class projects located in Australia and globally; collaborate with a local and global air quality team, and; be a part of expanding our growing national air quality team.

This opportunity with Mott MacDonald is for a senior or principal air quality consultant. In addition to air quality, this role provides the opportunity to work in carbon management or noise and vibration, further supporting Mott MacDonald's environment and sustainability team.

Role responsibilities:

  • Lead air quality impact assessments, technical reviews and provision of advice for a variety of project phases (planning and environmental approvals, detailed design, and construction), on a variety of projects.
  • Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to provide project development and delivery advice in relation to environmental risks and opportunities.
  • Leverage existing client relationships and build new relationships to support developing a diverse and robust business.
  • Mentor junior team members to build capability in a team focused, positive environment.
  • Lead and support the development of proposals and bid submissions.
