About the team
The Pre-Contracts team sits within Infrastructure and Place Division of Transport for NSW (TfNSW). This team is responsible for development and procurement of infrastructure construction contracts within each project. In this Matrix model the team partners with the project teams, to help deliver the largest infrastructure program Australia has ever seen. This role will be supporting the Great Western Highway Upgrade program.
The opportunity
Right now, we have an opportunity a Senior Pre-Contract Support Officer to join us in the Commercial, Performance and Strategy Branch of Infrastructure and Place.
The role is responsible for managing construction project pre-contract and procurement activities, and ensuring effective administration of all procurement/transaction management processes and compliance with all procurement policies, processes, procedures, and governance frameworks.
We are looking for an individual who has commercial acumen and has the capability to manage and support the end to end pre-contracts process with input from the commercial and procurement cross-function teams in compliance with relevant policies, standards, procedures and frameworks.

About you
You are a tertiary qualified seasoned construction procurement professional looking for an opportunity to join some of the state’s biggest projects. You will have demonstrated experience in the preparation of high-quality commercial documentation including construct-only (GC21) and/or Design and Construct contracts for major infrastructure projects.
You will also have experience working with multidisciplinary project teams with good understanding of the processes for procuring major infrastructure projects. You'll be an excellent communicator both in written and verbal forms and can work autonomously or as part of a team. We are looking for someone who can manage stakeholder relationships and is energised by the challenges presented in our complex and ever-changing work environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($120,423) – ($134,672) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
